Letbek is rewarding the Danish organization Race for Oceans with a five-figure sum for the benefit of the environment on Danish beaches.
Recently, when Letbek celebrated the company’s 50th anniversary, guests who wanted to give an anniversary gift could send a cash amount to be donated to two Danish organizations.
One of the organizations that Letbek wanted to support is Race for Oceans – an organisation that focuses on plastic waste on beaches – across Denmark and the rest of the world – by making local activities and technology projects. Race for Oceans received their donation last week.
Letbek director, Lars Krog, met the founder of Race for Oceans, Signe Simonsen, on the beach and handed over a check for a total of DKK 20,770.50. The founder was both surprised and thankful, and she had no doubt how to spend the donation.
– The donation will be used to put even more focus on World Goal 14 – Life in the ocean. We dream of having a physical workshop in Løkken, which is our base. Here we will create various free learning programs that, in addition to locals and tourists, must also be able to accommodate children, young people and adults with physical and mental challenges. The focus of the learning programs is on inclusion, circular processes and technology development within SDG 14 – Life in the sea.

Letbek sends a big thank you to all the anniversary guests who contributed to this donation.
The other half of the anniversary donation goes to the local organisation, Tistrup Erhvervs- og Borgerforening.
